Voting isn’t an issue—it’s our democracy’s critical infrastructure. That’s why we put it first. The Selma bridge won’t hold us all if its pillars are rusty and rotted!

We prioritize biggest-bang-for-the-buck voting modernizationreforms in eligibility, access, and verification. Our criteria for projects we organize: they impact the most voters; they have a path to victory; they’re projects that average citizens can impact.

About Lift Every Vote

Voting is a complex field, legislated and operated at federal, state, county and precinct level. We break it down, helping activists and average citizens to prioritize, strategize, plan, and execute effective voting advocacy.

Our goals: 100% citizen eligibility, 100% participation.

Our projects include:

  • Developing teaching materials that help citizens understand our election systems, and how to strategize effective voting advocacy.

  • Informing voters nationwide about issues like signature mis-matches on mail-in ballots, that can block their ballots from being counted. (We sent 32K postcards to Florida on the signature mis-match issue before it was reported!)

  • Obtaining purged voter files via public access requests, and collaborating with other orgs to text them

  • Helping activists, average citizens, and local, grassroots voting organizations nationwide, to work on large-scale voting reforms like Automatic Voter Registration

  • Promoting pro-voting policies at the federal, state, and county level

  • Fighting structural (legislative) attempts to restrict our citizens’ eligiblity and access.
